            Extended Date Functions Add-inFor Excel
            =======================================

Requires: Excel 97 or later version.

Main file: xdate.xla
Help file: xdate.hlp
(Both of these files must be in the same directory.)

Purpose: Enables Excel to work with dates prior to 1900.

Installation:
  1. Execute xdate.exe to extract the files.
  2. Start Excel 97 or later
  3. Select Tools - Add-Ins
  4. Click the Browse button
  5. Locate xdate.xla
  6. Click OK to close the Add-Ins dialog box

Usage:
When the add-in is installed, your worksheet formulas can use the
following new functions: XDATE, XDATEADD, XDATEDIF, XDATEYEARDIF,
XDATEYEAR, XDATEMONTH, XDATEDAY, XDATEDOW.

These functions are accessible from the Paste Function dialog box.
The functions appear in the 'Date & Time' function category.
To display the Paste Function dialog, click the Paste Function button, 
or use the Function command on the Insert menu). Select an XDATE 
function in the Paste Function dialog box and press F1 to view online 
help.

Price: Free. The XDATE.XLA add-in file may be freely distributed, but 
it may not be sold, included with another product (including book/CD-ROM 
packages), or modified in any way.
